“Teens for the Cure” is an organization comprised
of a dedicated group of young women attending high school in Manhattan
and its vicinity who have come together to join in the fight against
breast cancer. Many of us share a common bond of having watched
a mother, grandmother, aunt, or family friend go through the painful
and devastating effects of this disease. Since breast cancer often
affects the entire family, “Teens for the Cure”exists
as a place where teenagers can receive emotional support from
their peers and feel comfortable talking, laughing and crying
about their feelings and experiences. “Teens for the Cure”
was also formed to show that we can make a difference and help
fight by raising funds to support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer
Foundation.
